- Tanya went missing from McKeesport, Pennsylvania in February 1996. Ten years later, in March 2006, she was found alive. She’d been secretly living with Thomas Hose, the security guard at her school. Hose scared Tanya and tricked her into thinking her family didn’t want her. For several years, she wasn’t allowed to leave his house, and the other people living there didn’t even know she was there. Later, Hose let her go out sometimes, to shop and to church, but she used a fake name and birthday. She was finally found after telling some friends she was missing, and they called the police. Tanya is now back with her family, and Hose was arrested.
