Details of Disappearance:
Zino disappeared in early 1999. He was on leave from the US Army, training at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. His last confirmed sighting was on a bus in Oakland, California, on January 3, 1999, heading to San Francisco. He never contacted his family again.

Before joining the army, Zino’s life was unconventional. He was a successful college student, then dropped out to join the circus, later re-enrolling but failing to finish. He then spent time in Israel, where his mental health deteriorated significantly. He received treatment, including medication, but eventually stopped taking it. He joined the army without disclosing his mental health history.

After his last phone call with his family, where he seemed happy and planned a visit to relatives in Oakland, he was seen getting off the bus in Oakland but didn’t return to his army base as scheduled. A private investigator hired by his mother in 2001 suspected he may have become homeless, as he had previously expressed admiration for homeless people. Sightings of a man resembling Zino in homeless shelters were reported, but he was never found. The case remains unsolved, with authorities in Oklahoma and California investigating.
