- Details of Disappearance:
- Mascaro disappeared in Ocala, Florida. The last anyone saw him was February 22, 2013. His brother, who lives far away in Pennsylvania, reported him missing in March after not hearing from him for four months.
When the brother went to Mascaro’s house, he found some mail, but Mascaro’s car and bike were still there. His wallet, phone, and everything else was inside the house, too. Neighbors hadn’t seen him for a couple of weeks before the brother found him missing.
Police searched the area, including the trails Mascaro liked to walk (Greenway, Pruitt Trailhead, Ross Prairie State Forest, and Ocklawaha Prairie), but they couldn’t find him. The mystery of what happened to him remains unsolved.
