- In February 1996, Tiffany Jefferson vanished with her boyfriend, Courtney Williams. They were last seen leaving Williams’ apartment in Ellicott City, Maryland. Williams’ roommate reported him missing a couple of days later, and Jefferson’s family reported her missing shortly after that.
Williams was a drug dealer, and his abandoned minivan was found in a high-crime area of Baltimore. Two months later, Williams’ body was discovered; he’d been murdered. Jefferson was nowhere to be found.
A corrupt police officer, Andre Johnson, was later caught forging police documents for one of Williams’s associates. Johnson admitted to hearing a plot to kill Williams but did nothing. Even with this confession, no one has ever been charged with Williams’ murder or Jefferson’s disappearance. Police suspect foul play in Jefferson’s case.
