- Details of Disappearance:
- Massey disappeared in Huntsville, Alabama, around November 30, 2000. He was last seen with a man named Sonny Hardy in a red Ford pickup truck. The truck was later found in Cullman County, but nobody knew where Massey was.
Before that, some people saw Massey with two white men and one Black man.
Around the same time, Sonny Hardy was arrested and convicted of murdering Derwin Hawk in Huntsville. Police think Massey might have seen Hardy commit this murder, and that Hardy might have killed Massey to keep him quiet.
Even though Hardy says he’s innocent, he was convicted. However, nobody has ever been charged with Massey’s disappearance, which is still a mystery. Some records might say he disappeared on December 1st, but it was likely around the 30th of November. There’s also a chance he might have gone to the Birmingham area.
