Details of Disappearance:
On November 19, 2007, John Peek disappeared from his apartment in Cocoa, Florida. A neighbor heard a gunshot and saw people carrying Peek away. His girlfriend was on the phone with him when she heard him arguing with his roommates, followed by a gunshot.

One roommate told Peek’s girlfriend that they’d argued and he’d taken Peek to the hospital, but that was a lie. Peek was never at the hospital.

A witness saw two men carrying a rolled-up carpet out of Peek’s apartment building, with a woman cleaning the steps behind them.

Because of the gunshot, the suspicious story, and the witness seeing people carrying a carpet, police believe Peek was murdered.
