- Details of Disappearance:
- In August 2000, Tristen moved to Roseboro, North Carolina, to live with his great-aunt and -uncle. He was a troubled child; he had behavioral problems and was emotionally and physically behind for his age. He even killed one of their dogs. After a short stay in a hospital for testing, he disappeared on October 5th, 2000, while his great-aunt was sleeping. His two dogs went with him, but they returned home later, without any signs of having been hurt or lost. A big search didn’t find anything.
Tristen had a tough life. His mom was very young and died in a car crash. His grandfather accidentally ran him over while drunk driving, so he moved around a lot before going to live with his great-aunt and -uncle.
Police think he might have been kidnapped or possibly drowned in a pond, but no one knows for sure. His disappearance remains a mystery.
