- On July 12, 2004, Klug vanished from Rapid City, South Dakota. Police quickly arrested three people for kidnapping him. Two admitted guilt, but the third, Troy Teigan, was found guilty after a trial. Years later, in December 2008, Teigan was charged with Klug’s murder. He confessed and showed police where he’d buried Klug’s body – in the Sheep Mountain Range of eastern Montana – in May 2009.
