- On July 4th, 1956, Vilate, a little girl from Idaho, disappeared from a big family picnic near Bryce Canyon, Utah. She was watching someone make ice cream when she wandered off. A cousin said Vilate went up a hill and didn’t come back. A huge search with dogs and planes couldn’t find her, only her teddy bear near where she was last seen. Vilate was never found, and nobody knows what happened to her. The mystery remains unsolved.
