Details of Disappearance:

Little Wallace disappeared from Point Defiance Park in Tacoma, Washington, on January 10, 1983. He was playing with another girl and her mother near a duck pond while his father, Stanley, went for a walk with a man he thought was the girl’s father. After about half an hour, Stanley returned to find Wallace, the girl, and her mother gone.

Stanley and the man searched, but couldn’t find them. Police were called, but Wallace was never seen again. The police made sketches of the unidentified man, woman, and child, hoping they could help solve the case. A woman later claimed this couple had tried to kidnap her children at the park that day, but her story was never confirmed.

Years later, in 2011, Stanley was arrested for murdering his wife. This led to renewed interest in Wallace’s disappearance. Police searched an area Stanley suggested, but found nothing. Despite Stanley’s confession that Wallace accidentally died at home after falling from a high chair, a judge threw out the manslaughter charges because there was no other evidence.

Although Stanley’s confession was dismissed, police suspect foul play in Wallace’s disappearance. Wallace’s body has never been found, and authorities believe it may be impossible to recover. The case remains unsolved.
