Details of Disappearance:
On December 17, 1962, in Vineland, New Jersey, 4-year-old William disappeared. He was playing in his backyard with his little sister and dog when his mom briefly went inside. When she came back, William was gone. His sister said he’d given her a plastic poinsettia plant and then a man took him.

Family and friends searched, but couldn’t find him. He had a dime his mom gave him and wasn’t a very good talker. He loved dogs and had just gotten a new puppy.

William’s parents have passed away, but his sister is still looking for him. His disappearance is the oldest unsolved case of a missing child under five in New Jersey. Police think he may have been kidnapped.
