- Details of Disappearance:
- Zani disappeared on October 25, 2005, in New York. That morning, he got his gray 2000 Toyota fixed at Eastview Mall. Later that day, around 4 or 5 pm, his car was found abandoned and unlocked, with the windows down, even though it was raining heavily. The car had plenty of gas and was working fine, but it had been driven 25 miles to a spot no one could explain. About an hour later, someone who looked like Zani was seen walking nearby. He’s never been seen or heard from since.
Zani lived alone but had support from a group home. He was quiet and didn’t have many friends. He was divorced but friendly with his ex-wife and had two young children. He was about to inherit a lot of money from his recently deceased mother. He always used a credit card, but it hasn’t been used since he vanished. His family says he wouldn’t have left his car on purpose. He worked part-time at Pliant Corporation.
Police think something suspicious happened to Zani, and his disappearance remains a mystery.
