Details of Disappearance:
On October 2, 1990, David Perez disappeared from Wilmington, Delaware. He last spoke to his wife at 2:30 PM, saying he’d meet her for shopping in an hour. She thinks he was at the Scoreboard Bar & Grill because of the sounds in the background. His friend arrived at the bar at 2:45 PM, but Perez was gone, though his new van was still parked nearby.

Perez was never seen again. His wife reported him missing a few days later. A possible sighting of him in a different truck was reported, but never confirmed. His wife said he sometimes disappeared briefly, but never this long.

In 1999, James “Chris” DeAngelo was convicted of Perez’s murder. DeAngelo allegedly shot Perez over a debt. His wife and a friend helped hide the body. DeAngelo was sentenced to 30 years in prison.

Perez was a friendly, generous man who lived in the Wilmington area his whole life. He had a wife and two children. His body has never been found, but police believe it was initially buried near Interstate 95, then moved and disposed of in the Christina River.
