He spoke with a deep, husky voice in 1987. His hair may be longer than in the photos shown. Some agencies spell William’s middle name “Vern.”
- Details of Disappearance:
- On May 8, 1987, William, a student at Sylvester Middle School in Seattle, Washington, left a note saying he was sleeping over at a friend’s house. He didn’t come home the next day, and his friend said he never showed up. A witness reported seeing William get into a big white car, maybe a 1974 or 1975 Chevrolet Impala, later that same day in Seattle.
William was never seen or heard from again. It’s not clear what happened. He might have left on his own, but it’s a mystery. It’s unusual because he hung out with much older friends. The police still don’t know what happened to him.
