Details of Disappearance:
Wilks disappeared in May 2017 after driving from Lompoc, California to visit his uncle in Las Vegas. He never made it. His wrecked car wasn’t found until October 2019 – two and a half years later! It was upside down in a ditch (a culvert) near Highway 166 in California, close to where his phone last sent a signal. The car was badly damaged from a rollover crash. There were some clothes and a few of Wilks’s bones inside. Tests in February 2020 confirmed it was him. Police believe he died in an accident.
