- Details of Disappearance:
- On September 24, 2011, Jones fell while mountain climbing near Eugene, Oregon. His climbing partner saw him fall from a high cliff on North Sister Mountain. A helicopter search found something that looked like his body, but bad weather stopped them from getting it. The search ended soon after. Jones was a 1992 graduate of Springfield High School, a University of Oregon business student, and a father of three who was about to get married. It’s believed he died in the fall.
