- Alexandria’s mom took her from Fort Worth, Texas on May 8, 1997, even though she wasn’t supposed to. Years later, in January 2008, when Alexandria was 18, her dad found her in Costa Rica. People at the American embassy in Costa Rica knew Alexandria was there and that she was a missing person, but they didn’t tell anyone. Alexandria’s dad went to Costa Rica, but Alexandria didn’t want to see him. Because she’s an adult, he couldn’t make her. She still lives in Costa Rica.
