Her ears are pierced, she has a large Cesarean section scar on her abdomen, and she may wear contact lenses. Zapletal smokes cigarettes.
- Details of Disappearance:
- Carie disappeared from her Memphis, Tennessee home on December 2, 2014. She walked away and was never seen again. Strangely, she left everything behind: her purse, phone, ID, car, even her cigarettes and $2,000 in her bank account.
Her husband, Edward, said she’d been depressed and abusing drugs after he had a stroke a few months earlier, even trying to kill herself. But their children disagree. They say she wasn’t depressed or on medication and believe Edward wasn’t telling the truth about what happened. They think something bad happened to her.
Edward died in 2018, and Carie’s disappearance remains a mystery.
