Details of Disappearance:

Carmen vanished from her Belton, Texas home on July 1, 2007. Neighbors heard a fight at her house that night, but didn’t call the police. She left behind everything – her car, purse, and even her three children. This is very strange because she usually kept important things in her car. Her phone hasn’t been used since she disappeared.

Her husband, Grant, reported her missing the next day. He said they’d been drinking, he went to bed, and she was gone when he woke up. Grant and his brother are suspects. Grant has a long criminal record including rape, drug dealing, and drunk driving. He was out on bail for other charges when Carmen disappeared, then went to jail for missing a court date, and was released in 2009.

Carmen and Grant had a violent relationship. She’d filed for divorce but never finalized it. They were both facing charges from a recent fight. Grant even tried to get a protective order against Carmen, but she refused. Grant’s parents lived with them, and he’d just left a mental hospital.
