- Details of Disappearance:
- A couple, Ortiz and his girlfriend Isis Copado, disappeared from Las Vegas on October 1, 1994. Nine days later, Isis’s body was found near Baker, California, but it took almost three weeks to identify her. Her body was too badly decayed to determine how she died, but there were no obvious injuries. Ortiz was not found with her.
Police don’t know if Ortiz was involved in Isis’s death, or if he’s in danger himself. He’s still missing. He might be driving a white 1994 Toyota Celica with Nevada plates (113E8W).
The case is unsolved. California police are investigating but have lost contact with Ortiz’s family and want to speak to them.
