- On February 23, 1976, a woman named Weaver vanished from her apartment in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. She was last seen around 8:30 a.m. after walking her daughter to school. Her husband was to meet her at 1:30 p.m., but she was gone. He’d last talked to her at 9:30 a.m.
Neighbors saw a suspicious blue car near her apartment that morning – once backing up to her building, and another time with its trunk open and the back end raised up.
Police think something bad happened to Weaver because she left all her things behind – her purse, her car, everything. She wasn’t having any problems and never disappeared like this before.
Despite witnesses and the suspicious circumstances, the case remains a mystery.
