Two years later, Amy’s friend told police that Amy confessed her husband, John, killed Christopher. Amy and John were teenagers at the time; Amy claimed Christopher had raped her, and John, wanting revenge, lured Christopher to a meeting. John then attacked Christopher, tying him up with Amy’s help and putting him in the car trunk. John drove away, later telling Amy he’d killed Christopher and dumped his body in the water near Scott, Arkansas.

Amy and John married a year later, but Amy eventually left him, confessing to the police. Amy pleaded guilty to kidnapping and testified against John. John’s mother and uncle also testified against him, confirming his confession. John was found guilty of murder and sentenced to life in prison, but he continues to claim he’s innocent. Christopher’s body has never been found.
