- Coan disappeared in Enoch, Utah, in September 2007. Nearly a year and a half later, his wrecked SUV was found at the bottom of a cliff in Right Hand Canyon, a dangerous area east of Cedar City. It looks like he crashed his car on the same day he went missing, losing control and driving off a 300-foot cliff. Since he was a new driver and the canyon is rough and difficult to navigate, police believe it was an accident and not foul play.
