- On May 23, 1985, Mary Moore left her job at a post office in Troy, Michigan, at 11:00 pm. She was going to pick up her two-year-old son from her estranged husband’s house, but she never arrived. A coworker saw her driving away around 11:15 pm.
A week later, her car was found abandoned near a theater. The car was locked, the keys were gone, and there were no signs of a fight. Mary left behind all her belongings at her parents’ house, and her bank account hasn’t been used since she disappeared.
Police suspected her husband because Mary had said he was violent towards her in the past. He filled in his swimming pool soon after she vanished, and police searched it in 1992, but found nothing.
What happened to Mary Moore is still a mystery. Police believe foul play was involved.
