- Details of Disappearance:
- In September 1989, a young man named Sharp disappeared in Columbia, Tennessee, after going to cash a check. His mother didn’t report him missing because she hoped he’d return.
Around the same time, a body was found in the Duck River, weighted down with stones. This was just a mile and a half from where Sharp grew up. In 2009, Sharp’s sister saw a reconstruction of the dead man’s face and thought it looked like her brother. Police investigated, but DNA tests proved it wasn’t him. The body in the river is still unidentified.
Sharp was described as friendly and loved basketball, but he had a mental disability after a bad reaction to medicine. He’s never been found.
