Details of Disappearance:
On November 3, 1996, at 2:13 a.m., a woman named Williams was released from jail in Kansas City, Missouri. She was last seen near Locust Street. She vanished and has never been found.

Williams often spent time in the Independence Avenue area of Kansas City. She was close to her mother, who looked after her children. The last time she saw her mother was October 10th, and she told her mother someone wanted her dead.

After Williams disappeared, her family received anonymous calls saying she had been murdered, but these calls couldn’t be proven.

Police think Williams’s disappearance might be connected to other missing and murdered women in Kansas City, possibly the work of a serial killer. Two other missing women, Jamie Pankey (missing in 1996) and Cheresa Lordi (missing in 1997), are also believed to be victims. Several other women were murdered and their bodies found in the Missouri River. All the victims were involved in drugs and prostitution and spent time on Independence Avenue. Investigators suspect foul play in all these unsolved cases.
