- Details of Disappearance:
- Maria Guzman-Mendoza vanished in Tucson, Arizona on September 20, 2010. She left her job at a restaurant near Speedway and Wilmot roads after only 30 minutes, saying she felt sick. She usually took two buses home to the Ruthrauff and Interstate 10 area.
Police know she got on the first bus, and her phone last “pinged” (sent a signal) near her home, but she never arrived. She’s a loving mother, hard worker, and close to her family and friends – she wouldn’t just disappear. She wasn’t married or dating, and had no mental health issues. She was looking forward to becoming a grandmother.
Since she disappeared, she hasn’t used her bank account or gotten her prescriptions filled. Her family and the police are worried something bad happened to her and think it’s possible she was harmed. The case remains a mystery.
