Details of Disappearance:
Craig disappeared on June 27, 2004, in Scotia, New York. He was last seen around 2:00 PM near some apartments. He’d visited a friend and then walked into the woods, saying he was going home to his parents. He never arrived, and he left his car behind.

His mom reported him missing that evening. This was unusual for Craig; he usually didn’t leave without telling anyone, even though he was arguing with his parents. His friends haven’t heard from him either. The family initially didn’t report it publicly, hoping he’d just be taking some time alone.

His friend said Craig was upset about a recent breakup, but didn’t seem suicidal or planning to run away. Craig left his wallet and $40 at home. He also didn’t have his cell phone. His driver’s license was lost, and his Social Security number hasn’t been used since, meaning he hasn’t worked or opened any bank accounts.

Craig was a good student and soccer star about to start his senior year of high school. Colleges wanted him to play soccer for them. He had no criminal record or enemies. He *had* run away once briefly when he was younger, but this was different. The day he vanished, his family learned he’d lost his job at a supermarket weeks earlier and had been hiding it from them.

Police and his family don’t think he ran away or killed himself. They believe something bad happened to him, but they don’t know what. There are railroad tracks near where he was last seen, but no evidence he was hit by a train.
