- In August 2004, Whitmore vanished from Debary, Florida. Nine months later, in May 2005, his truck was found underwater in the St. Johns River. His body was in the truck, and investigators believe he died at the time of his disappearance. He died from a neck injury caused by the truck accident. Police don’t think anyone else was involved.
