- Details of Disappearance:
- Zacot disappeared from Fort Lauderdale, Florida on February 25, 1999. Her boyfriend, Brian O’Connor, last saw her at her apartment around 9:30-10:30 pm. Zacot said she’d watch TV and go grocery shopping around 1 am. She was seen buying bread at a Winn-Dixie store that night.
Two days later, O’Connor found Zacot’s car locked in the Winn-Dixie parking lot. She was gone. Zacot didn’t show up for work, and there’s been no activity on her accounts since her disappearance. She left her apartment lights and TV on, which was unusual for her.
Police suspect foul play. A witness claimed to see Zacot get into a white sports car with a well-dressed African-American man near the Winn-Dixie the night she vanished, but this lead wasn’t confirmed.
Investigators are focusing on Lucious Boyd, a person of interest. Boyd has a history of violence, including a conviction for rape and murder. He was also connected to another unsolved disappearance. He knew Zacot through her work at a printing company that did business with his family’s funeral home. Boyd refuses to talk to police.
Zacot’s case is still unsolved. She was a graphic designer.
