- Miniotas disappeared. The last time anyone saw him was in Carteret, New Jersey on November 19, 1994. He’s never been found. We don’t know much about what happened. Miniotas was from Kaunas, a city in Lithuania. He moved to the United States and was an immigrant. Kaunas used to be part of the Soviet Union.
