- Rockey vanished from Bartlesville, Oklahoma in August 2002. Seven years later, in May 2009, he turned up alive and well in South Dakota. He was found because he tried to get a driver’s license so he could visit his mom for Mother’s Day. After leaving Oklahoma, Rockey traveled around, doing odd jobs to get by. He left his wife and two kids behind. He said joblessness and other problems made him leave his life.
