- On November 19, 1976, 19-year-old Michael Heagerty went for a walk near his parents’ house in Owego, New York and disappeared. He was feeling depressed and confused, and was seeing a doctor. While he’d left home before and always contacted his family, this time he vanished without a trace. He was a bright student (former class president) who had started college but dropped out. There were unconfirmed reports of him in Pennsylvania, possibly heading to his brother’s house, but his disappearance remains a mystery.
