- On November 17, 1999, Criqui disappeared from her home in Hurst, Texas. Her daughter last saw her around 9:30 pm. The next morning, the front door was open, and Criqui was gone.
Police found bloodstains near her house, in the nearby alley, and on a nearby store. Her car was home, but her keys were by the door, and she left her purse and pager behind. She hasn’t been seen since.
While Criqui had missed a court date a few weeks earlier and knew people involved in drugs, she wasn’t known to run away. Police think she was murdered.
