Details of Disappearance:
On August 27, 2014, in Indianapolis, Indiana, Delano Wilson’s father, Willie, reported that Delano had been kidnapped. Willie said he was walking with Delano when a man and a woman in a blue Ford Taurus robbed him, beat him, and then drove off with the baby.

The police investigated, issuing an Amber Alert. However, things didn’t quite add up. Willie had no visible injuries from the alleged beating, and security camera footage showed him walking alone, without Delano, right before calling 911. There was also no sign of the described car.

Adding to the suspicion, Willie was found to have marijuana on him when police searched him. Internet searches about missing children were found on his phone. Blood was discovered in the family’s apartment, and dogs tracked both Willie’s and Delano’s scents to a wooded area.

Because of these inconsistencies, Willie was charged with Delano’s murder, even though the evidence was largely circumstantial. He was later acquitted, meaning he was found not guilty. Delano’s body has never been found, and the circumstances of his disappearance remain a mystery, with strong suspicions of foul play.
