- Details of Disappearance:
- In April 1993, a woman named Snead disappeared in St. Augustine, Florida. She was never seen again.
Years later, serial killer William Darrell Lindsey Sr. confessed to killing her. He even showed police a large, alligator-infested pit where he said he’d buried her body, but her remains were never found. Even though they couldn’t find her body, there was enough evidence to convict Lindsey of her murder.
Lindsey confessed to killing other women too, including Diana Richardson, and was convicted of a total of six murders. None of the bodies of several of his victims, including Snead and Richardson, were ever recovered. He died in prison in 2015.
It’s important to note that Snead, like Lindsey’s other victims, was involved in drugs and prostitution.
