- On April 7, 1992, in Rayne, Louisiana, a woman named Gonzales disappeared. She was seen around 3:00 p.m. walking near Devil’s Alley on South Adams Street. It was her first day working alone; she was a new insurance salesperson.
Her blue 1982 Pontiac Bonneville was found nearby, but her car keys and work briefcase were gone. Her purse and ID were in the trunk.
Three people said they saw her the day *after* she vanished. Police think something bad happened to her because she wouldn’t just disappear—she was a quiet person who had even considered becoming a nun.
The case is still not solved.
