- In 1977, a man named Mueller vanished from Scottsdale, Arizona. Kidnappers sent his family a note demanding money for his return. The family paid, but Mueller never came back. Years later, in 2006, police found one of his bones in a desert area near Phoenix. They didn’t know it was Mueller’s bone until 2011. The police are now investigating his death as a murder.
