- Distinguishing Characteristics Biracial (Caucasian/Native American) male. Black hair, brown eyes. Douglas has a scar on the back of his head, a scar on his right calf, and a large mole on his right shoulder. He may go by his initials, D.J.
- Details of Disappearance:
- Douglas disappeared in 1992. He was 17 and ran away from home, living with a friend in Anacortes, Washington. He even went to high school there. But his friend’s dad made him leave, so Douglas started hitchhiking back to his family in Oak Harbor. He never made it.
Douglas had some trouble with the law – a burglary arrest – and had drug problems. Police first thought he ran away to avoid jail, but his mom heard rumors he was killed in a drug deal. He left all his important stuff – wallet, ID – at home, making his disappearance even more mysterious. Even the date of his disappearance is unclear; some say it was November 1992, others August 1994. The case remains unsolved.
