Details of Disappearance:
On December 30, 2011, Rogers was last seen in Liberty, Texas. He called his brother and son that night, inviting them to the VFW hall, but they declined. He was seen leaving the hall, and then disappeared.

The next day, his stepson and wife spotted his green Jeep abandoned on a road between Cleveland and Tarkington Prairie. They didn’t think much of it at first, but after several days, they became worried. Rogers’s stepdaughter checked the Jeep and found his phone and medicine inside. She reported him missing on January 6th.

Rogers was separated from his wife and they were fighting. Because of foot problems from his time in Vietnam, he couldn’t walk far, and his Jeep was his only way to get around. It was totally out of character for him to vanish like this, and his disappearance remains a mystery.
