Details of Disappearance:

Elijah, a 17-year-old from Woodland, California, vanished on November 4, 2016, the day after his birthday. He went to school, cashed a check, and then disappeared. Two days later, his mom reported him missing. A text from his phone said he was heading to the San Francisco Bay Area.

His close friend, Enrique, also disappeared three weeks earlier. Both boys went to the same school and worked together at a construction training program. They were also both on probation for the same fight.

At first, Enrique’s disappearance was treated as a runaway case, but after Elijah went missing, police started investigating other possibilities. Elijah’s family says he was happy and had plans for college. Unlike Enrique, who had run away briefly before, Elijah had never done so.

Both families and investigators think the disappearances are connected. Even though some still call them runaways, the circumstances are suspicious, and the cases remain unsolved.
