Details of Disappearance:
On July 27, 2000, Elizabeth Kutz disappeared. She was last seen leaving work around 3:15 pm, driving a borrowed green Jeep Cherokee. The Jeep was later found abandoned in Madison, Wisconsin. Elizabeth was separated from her husband, Daniel, and was living with her mother. Their marriage was falling apart, and Daniel had made threats against Elizabeth, who was afraid.

The day she vanished, Elizabeth told her mother to call the police if she didn’t arrive home within 30 minutes. Daniel claimed he and Elizabeth spent the day together in the Jeep, then she dropped him off at a gas station. He said he never saw her again. However, he was found later that night, soaking wet and without shoes or a shirt, miles from where he claimed to be.

Police found Elizabeth’s blood in the Jeep and on Daniel’s watch. Daniel’s fingerprints were on the outside of the Jeep, but the inside had been wiped clean. He was arrested, charged with murder, convicted, and is serving a life sentence. He claims he’s innocent. Elizabeth’s body has never been found, but evidence strongly suggests foul play. Her parents raised her two children.
