- On October 20, 2020, seven people went seal hunting in Alaska. They started in Quinhagak with three people in a small, open aluminum boat, then picked up four more in Bethel. The boat was last seen near Eek Island. Elizabeth was one of the hunters. The group – Elizabeth, Chad Chadwick, Neal Gutleben, Alexie Nose, Michael Sharp, Bernice Waska, and Wilson Wassillie – never came back. A four-day search found nothing. It’s believed they had an accident and drowned, but their bodies and the boat have never been found.
