Details of Disappearance:
Elizabeth disappeared from Toledo, Ohio on April 14, 1965. She was a young wife and mother, living with her 20-year-old husband and baby daughter. Her husband claimed she left after a fight, saying he’d found her with another man.

However, police now believe she was murdered. She vanished without a trace – no contact with family, no Social Security activity, and nothing in her life to explain such a sudden disappearance.

Her mother’s visit a few days after Easter revealed a chaotic apartment: torn curtains, scattered clothes, and an empty baby’s crib. The landlady reported hearing a commotion the night before. This, combined with the apartment’s state, led her mother to report Elizabeth missing and hire a private investigator.

Elizabeth’s husband is considered a suspect. Police re-interviewed him in 2004; he’d since divorced and remarried twice. Their daughter grew up with relatives, then her father, and later in a children’s home, only connecting with her mother’s family as an adult.

In 2022, police searched a quarry, hoping to find a car linked to the case. They found two cars, but neither was the one they were looking for, and no evidence was found.

Before her disappearance, Elizabeth attended Genoa High School (chess club member), was a Girl Scout, and went to church. She married shortly before becoming pregnant.

The case remains unsolved, and police suspect foul play.
