Some agencies spell her middle name “Jane.”
Details of Disappearance:: Erica disappeared in Middleburgh, New York, on October 13, 1986, around 9:00 pm. She and her husband, Richard, were having problems. Richard had taken their baby to New York, leaving Erica in Michigan. She went to get the baby back, and they got back together. But later that October, Erica told her brother she was scared and wanted to leave Richard. She was going to call him the next day with a plan, but she never did. Richard then moved with their son to Vermont. Erica wasn’t reported missing until February 1987. Sadly, one of her sons died in 2006. Richard is still alive and living in Vermont. Police suspect foul play, but Erica’s disappearance remains a mystery.
