Details of Disappearance:
On March 13, 1976, Gesler disappeared from Auburn, Washington. She told her husband and kids she was going to a hotel to study for a college exam, and would be back the next day. She was driving her ex-husband’s blue 1973 Mercury station wagon. She even kept a hair appointment that day. But she never came home.

Her car was later found abandoned in an Auburn parking lot. Police believe her ex-husband, Glenn Allan Bagley, killed her. They also suspect him in the 1973 disappearance of Althea Blankinship and her son, who lived in his house. Bagley moved to the Philippines after Gesler vanished. Although police tried to get him to talk, he always claimed he was innocent, saying he was building a cat house the day Gesler disappeared. His girlfriend initially backed him up, but later said he threatened her life.

Bagley died in the Philippines in 2016. Gesler’s case is still unsolved, but police suspect foul play. Kent police are investigating.
