- On July 1, 1982, Eugene and his wife, Melanie, were last seen leaving Crandon Marina in Miami, Florida in their fast boat. This boat was a 27-foot long, navy blue Cigarette speedboat (think a sleek, powerful boat) built in 1975. It had two thin white stripes, a sunshade (Bimini top), and two powerful Mercury engines.
