Details of Disappearance:
Frances Groves married young, at 14, in 1929. She and her husband lived in Colorado and had seven children. Tragedy struck in 1950 when their son was accidentally killed by her husband. They separated, and Frances moved.

She later met James Franklin Fye, and they moved around, eventually ending up in Palm Springs, California, where they worked for a wealthy family. Frances said they were married, but there’s no proof. Their relationship was violent.

One day in 1955, they went on a picnic, and Fye came back alone. Frances vanished, leaving behind a lot of money in a safe deposit box. Fye later killed himself in 1996, leaving a note whose contents are secret. No one knows for sure what happened to Frances, and her disappearance remains a mystery.
