Details of Disappearance:
On Mother’s Day, May 14, 1989, Debra Hurst called her mom from Kansas. She’d hitchhiked there with a man named Bob and said she was coming home. She never made it. Hurst, who had four children, traveled a lot, often hitchhiking at truck stops, and using buses and trains. She’d been to many states, including California, Arizona, Florida, Virginia, South Carolina, Kansas, and Ohio. Nobody knows exactly what happened to her; her disappearance is a mystery.
