- A man named Weekley, who had a mental disability, went missing from Sunland Training Center, a place where he lived in Marianna, Florida. He disappeared on December 6, 2002. Two years later, in December 2004, his bones were found in a hidden pit in the building’s boiler room. Doctors couldn’t figure out exactly how he died, but there were no obvious signs of injury. Weekley’s parents are suing the state of Florida, saying the center’s staff mistreated Weekley and didn’t watch him closely enough.
